Happy Father's Day!

Happy Father's Day to my sweet dad! I love you!

Remembering Jeff's wonderful dad this Father's Day! We love and miss him so much!

A poem for our fathers...

Life Lessons

You may have though I didn't see,
Or that I hadn't heard,
Life lessons that you taught to me,
But I got every word.

Perhaps you thought I missed it all,
And that we'd grow apart,
But Dad, I picked up everything,
It's written on my heart.

Without you, Dad, I wouldn't be,
The person I am today,
You built a strong foundation
No one can take away.

I've grown up with your values,
And I'm very glad I did;
So here's to you dear father,
From your forever grateful kid.

Happy Father's Day to my husband! I love you forever!

Jeff and his brother Jason...Cash laughs the same way!
Such a big boy graduating from Kindergarten

Cash meets his Daddy!
Remi meets her Daddy...her first love.
Safe in Daddy's arms
Watching sports already!

Remi's first dance
Baby in a bag

Thanks for loving me Daddy

The safest place on Earth

Best friends!

I love you Forever...

A poem for my husband...

I remember when I met you,
I thought you were so fun.
We laughed and talked all night,
I knew you were The One.

Our wedding was a blessing,
With friends and family near.
We made our vows and promised,
to last throughout the years.

When times got tough,
We made it through.
Because you love me,
And I love you.

Thank you God for my greatest gifts,
My little family.
Jeff, I love you sweetie,
You mean everything to me.

Wow! Look How Much We Have Changed

Some pictures of the babies that I wanted to post because they show how much they have GROWN! I can't believe it. They were not yet a month old here. Actually, they really could have still been in my belly! Can you imagine!?

Sweet Cashi is so sleepy

My sweet baby girl just home from the NICU. Looking back I think I was afraid of her..hurting her, losing her. Not anymore...she is my sweetie-pie!

Look at all that hair!

What puffy eyes. Now I have them.

When it was just me and Cash waiting for our baby girl to come home!

Now you can scroll down to see my most recent post and new pics of the babies! They are almost 6 months!

I Love My Babies!

I spend half of the day laughing...seriously. The babies are so funny right now. I just adore them. I think Cash learned to grunt from me. When the babies are fussy and hard I do a loud sigh/grunt sound and now he is doing that when he is frustrated! Could he have learned that from me? Remi is the cutest little girl ever (except for all my friends' little girls of course)! She is hilarious in her jumperoo and exersaucer! I call it "busy at work" because she will look up for a minute from playing and then get back to work with the toys! She also makes little gremlin sounds. Both babies have to touch our faces constantly. They especially love Daddy's face because of his scratchy whiskers. I don't have a lot of pics because I have been trying to videotape more lately. Something funny that happened earlier...we were outside taking a couple of pics and I put the babies by Jeff and told him to smile. He said, "I don't feel like it. I don't want to be blogged tonight!" LOL...he's so craaaazy! OK, so recently I was complaining to Jeff about gaining weight instead of losing it. I was telling him I didn't understand why I couldn't lose this baby weight and he said 100% seriously' "Are you sure it isn't from eating things like that whole chocolate pie?" When did he start paying attention to anything I do??? I will have to hide my pies from now on! Also, not so funny that I dropped a hot wing on the floor and Millie gobbled it up without even biting it! We are watching her to make sure she doesn't have a blockage from the bones!

And BLESSINGS from God that my Grandma made it through surgery on her arm and is doing great! Here is a pic of Grandma and me. I love her so much!

What funny faces they have...The Complainer and the Gremlin!

The babies helping me in the yard. Bailey hates the lawnmower. Everytime it started up she ran and stood in front of the babies. Did she think it would get them?

Busy Busy.

Get back to work! Really she played herself to sleep. Also, notice her crazy hair! My sweet baby girl is losing her beautiful brown hair! : (

Chillin' like a villian ; )

Back to her old tricks! I don't know where she gets her strong will...? ; )

Cash-I LOVE oatmeal cereal!

Remi-I LOVE my thumb more!

I really really love my thumb.

and my fingers...actually I prefer to suck my food. Can we stop play-eating yet Mommy?
I used the diaper cake Dianne made me to figure out how to make one for a friend of Jeff's. I used size 1 diapers though. I should have used size 2 or 3 like Dianne so she could have the cake longer.

Sad News

I just wanted to write a little something about a doctor we loved. Throughout our high-risk pregnancy we visited North Texas Perinatal Associates and saw Dr. Rinehart and Dr. Patton. We looked forward to our visits more than anything else. These two doctors are amazing people who care for the tiniest patients. I recently found out that Dr. Patton passed away suddenly in December. We saw him a few days before we had the babies and he totally put my mind at ease. He spent an hour or more with us on a Sunday afternoon in his office. It is so sad that someone so wonderful was taken too soon. He will be so missed! There is a foundation in his honor set up at Presby Dallas if you are interested in donating. Prayers for his wife of over 30 years! I added the Golden Retriever Rescue to Our Favorite Sites because Goldens are something we had in common with him. I am so sorry the world lost such a caring man. God Bless Him.

5 months-Where Oh Where Have My Newborns Gone...

My how time flies! I can't believe the babies are 5 months old. Cash is rolling across the room now and is learning to sit up by himself. He is still happy and content most of the time. He gets upset with his teething pain. He also may join Hair Club for Men as his hair is falling out! He has definitely found his voice. He will suddenly decide to scream out loud all the time. When both babies get going I feel like I am surrounded by howler monkeys in the rainforest. Remi is wanting to stand up 24/7. The girl will not sit down. She straightens her legs out and bucks herself out of anything she is being forced to sit/lay in. She is pretty chatty and is very happy now that she can play with her toys. She is such a sweetie!

The babies slept through the night for the first time Saturday night! They went to bed at 8 and woke a little after 6! I felt like I won the lottery! I will admit that at first I thought something horrible must have happened and panicked. After I saw they were fine I wanted to climb on top of the roof and scream out to the neighbors that we all slept through the night. But then they probably wouldn't want to hear that at 6am huh?

We are on rice cereal once a day now. Cash loves it and Remi is thinking about liking it. She has her own opinions about things. We are now going to Amy and Sylvia's pediatrician and I do LOVE her. It is quite a hike to her office. At least 20 miles, but worth every minute of the drive.
Jeff's mom was here for a week! We loved every second of her being here! She was such a help to us and the babies love her. It was VERY sad to see her go. While she was here I was able to do so much! I went to meet friends I used to teach with at their Jimmy Buffet tailgate party and then went to Jana's wedding shower. Here are some pictures from the past couple of weeks. Thanks for checking on us!

Then Cash decided to wake Sissy up.

OK Bubby, I will wake up and hold hands with you.
Cash loves the girls!
Did I mention that we could NOT have made it through the first 5 months if it weren't for Amy and Sylvia? We love them so much!
