Baby Showers!!

Diaper cake by Dianne! The real cake...

What happened to the rest of the pictures!? If any of you have any...send them my way! I remember taking them with some of you and now they are not on my camera! : ( So sad! I need a couple from you Amy and Carrie.
So, regarding our 3 showers given by Carrie and Ryan; Jeanette; Kristi, Dianne, Kelli, Jessica, Marnie, and Jeri...
We are blessed beyond belief! I am truly amazed at the kindness and generosity of our family and friends. As the babies have grown, I have worried incessantly about how we will provide for them. But, I kept telling myself that God planned for these babies to be here at this time and He would not have done that if everything would not be ok. Well, thanks to our wonderful family and friends...our babies have just about everything they need!

It was so wonderful seeing everyone at the showers! It makes me sad that we only get to see some of the people we love at special occasions. I wish we all lived closer. After our shower on Saturday, I cried for a couple of days thinking that I might not see everyone for a while. Hormones!!

28 Weeks!

Mommy Update:

I am measuring 39 weeks (which is full term belly size for single baby)! No wonder I am hurting so much! Also, I am anemic even with my iron supplements! I guess babies are taking all the good stuff. No wonder I am soooo tired! Finally, I failed the 1 hour gestational diabetes glucose test! What does that mean? Well, in the next week or so I have t go to the lab at 8:30am fasting and drink the yuckiest pure sugar drink. Then I have to have my blood drawn at 8:30, 9:30, 10:30 and 11:30 while waiting in the office. BORING! If I pass this test I do not have gestational diabetes. If I fail...I do! = (

Daddy Update:

Jeff is working his tail off around the house trying to get ready for the babies.

Birth Update:

We are scheduled for a c-section on Tuesday, December 2. We arrive at 9:30 and go in to retrieve little sweeties at 11:30am! OMGoodness!

Baby Update:

Here is a picture of how 28 week fraternal twins look in utero. But, ours are stacked...baby boy is on top and baby girl is on bottom. Perinatologist appointment went GREAT! The babies are starting to get fat! Yay! Baby girl is getting a little booty and baby boy has long legs that he likes to put up over his head. Also, Dr. showed us that they actually have some hair that you could see on the sono! Doctor told us they were "some good-lookin babies!"

26 week checkup

Sorry, no pic today! I am waiting for the 28 week shocker! I did go to OB today...both babies are healthy and active. OB says that by next appointment (28 weeks) they should be 3 pounds each! Also found out that we are scheduling our C-Section at next appointment. Sounds weird, huh? Scheduling the birth...I actually hate that. But, I may not go to that date (37 weeks). In fact, I can easily go anytime after 35 weeks. So, for those of you wondering the dates: 35 weeks=week of November 17 and 36 weeks=week of November 24 (Thanksgiving week)! Our scheduled C-section will be week of December 1! That is 10 1/2 weeks away!!!! Yikes!

A friend of mine is 31 weeks pregnant with twins and just got put on hospital bedrest because of preterm labor. We are praying she gets a couple more weeks before her girls are born. That has motivated me to rest more!

By the way, my work had a nice shower for the babies last week. Jeff came and sat with me and was the only man there! What a trooper! I looked back at the pictures and decided not to post them. What was I thinking when I said I hadn't gained weight anywhere but my belly! HA! Yeah, right! I am sleeping in the recliner most nights due to suffocation from belly weight and rib pain. Baby Boy is in my ribcage and Baby Girl is sooo low! Oh well, I pray for more pain if it means babies are bigger!

Thanks for reading! I love you guys! xoxo

Rock the Vote! :o)

I updated our baby name polls! Sorry if I deleted your votes...I wanted to add new names and had to delete the old ones...so vote again!

24 Weeks

WOW! Can you believe no stretch marks yet? Maybe I just can't see them. Although I am religious with the cocoa butter lotion and drinking tons of water! We went to the perinatologist and found out the babies are around 2 pounds each!!! So exciting! We need them to make it to 5 pounds each before they are born so that we have a better chance of avoiding the NICU. We are hoping I make it to at least 35 weeks. Considering my cervix was all closed up last appointment, things are looking good for that to happen. I am feeling all kinds of commotion in my belly. I think there is a wrestling match going on...no wait I think maybe they are playing and hugging and kissing each other! :o)

These are the shelves that Bryce and Jeff are working on. They are utilizing space behind the babies' door. They still need to be painted white. Thank goodness my brother is a handyman.

No! This is not the babies' bedding! It is the bedding I want, but cannot get because it is custom-made ($$$). When you are buying 2 of everything, you kind of re-think all that! I am buying something similar though, just not as much white. Oh well, all that white will probably get spit-up on it anyway.

September 6 was our 5 year anniversary! Jeff made me his family's recipe: cabbage rolls! It was the first time since I have known him that he made me dinner NOT ON THE GRILL! I have been asking him to do that. We also cleaned out tons of stuff from the house and garage for the yard sale. Our neighborhood is having the annual yard sale Saturday, 9/13. Anybody need to buy anything?

Time for Tears

So these are hormones! I am crying all the time. Last night I got out the babies' books and got to a page where I had to write them a letter. I only got through one. I couldn't see what I was writing for the tears. I love these babies so much. I can't imagine going through life loving something this much. What am I going to do when they come out? I won't feel them anymore. I will have to let them have space from me and have their own life. Oh no!
I am finding a whole new way to love Jeff. It's funny to see a whole new side of someone you thought you knew inside and out. Jeff is going to be the best daddy. He does everything for the babies and they aren't even here yet. I know Jeff learned how to be a great dad from his dad. It has been really hard lately not having John here with us during this time. We miss him so much. We truly believe he had a hand in this miracle.

The Nursery!

Well, We are working on it...I mean Jeff and Bryce are working on it! But hey, I am planning it and doing the shopping! It was really hard deciding on something for girl/boy twins.
